Why social networking advertising works in Bahrain ?

In a recent social networking campaign 4SPOTS fetched 10000 fans with in 4 weeks to participate in summer events in Seef Mall through Facebook alone ! in the process writting the most succesful online story in the kingdom. According to the recently conducted Survey , 95% of Internet consumers trust recommendations from people they know, making word of mouth the most trusted medium.

From over 25,000 Internet consumers surveyed from 50 countries, results showed that recommendations by personal acquaintances and opinions posted by consumers online have been voted as the most trusted forms of advertising globally.

90% Internet consumers worldwide trust recommendations from people they know, whilst 70%  trust consumer opinions posted online.

Surprisingly , online media is yet  to be established  as main-stream media marketing among the corporates in Bahrain even though  104,980 ! residents of the kingdom are actively using Facebook!!

While online marketing has evolved rapidly , corporates are yet to cash in from the change. According to Srusti Ranjan , COO , 4SPOTS  "The complexities involved in online advertisement is the important reason why corporate advertisers have not shown interest in online media. Agencies should make  things easier for the advertisers by offering them a complete solutions package , which we have been doing succesfully for our clients".
