ShellDex
Shelldex is a decentralized exchange that is similar to Ethereum’s Uniswap or Binance Smart Chain's Pancakeswap, but it runs on Ekta Smart Chain instead. A decentralized exchange (DEX) is a peer-to-peer marketplace that connects cryptocurrency buyers and sellers. In contrast to centralized exchanges, decentralized platforms are non-custodial, meaning a user remains in control of their private keys when transacting on a DEX platform.
ShellDEX in the initial phases would let the user swap tokens without an intermediary, as well as earn liquidity pool. Shelldex is the only decentralised exchange available for Ekta smart chain.
Shelldex is inspired by cawry shells, a unique hardshell used as a currency in ancient India,China, Australia and many countries of Asia. Known as Shell money, a medium of exchange similar to coin money and other forms of commodity money, and was once commonly used in many parts of the world.
The Decentralised Exchange is a medium to swap digital assets, hence it was apt to use Cawry shells as an insignia for Shelldex.
